Bimatoprost is a synthetic prostaglandamide F2α derivative that selectively mimics the effects of prostacyclin produced in the body, increasing the rate of aqueous humor production, reducing the resistance to aqueous outflow, by increasing the trabecular meshwork and the uveoscleral membrane. The channel's aqueous outflow reduces intraocular pressure (IOP) and is considered to be the strongest local anti-glaucoma drug for ocular hypotensive. It is suitable for the treatment of open angle glaucoma (POAG) or other high intraocular pressure drugs. Patients with depression (OHT).
